Safety:
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends that babies should sleep alone in their own crib, play yard or bassinet on a firm, flat mattress with a taut sheet. Keep their sleep surface clutter-free, with no blankets, pillows, crib bumpers, stuffed animals or other objects. But the AAP does support the use of a lovey as a tool for emotional support with babies older than 12 months. According to the AAP, "Despite myths to the contrary, transitional objects are not a sign of weakness or insecurity, and there's no reason to keep your child from using one. In fact, a transitional object can be so helpful you may want to help them choose one and build it into their nighttime ritual."
 
Care:
Wash on gentle cycle with like fabrics in cold water.
Machine dry with like fabrics although some pilling may occur. For best results, we suggest air drying. 
Avoid care products that contain harsh chemicals, additives, optical brighteners and bleach. Do not wash with abrasive items
Snip any loose threads.
